Oman is a country beginning with the letter O. The country is located in the southwestern part of Asia, on the Arabian Peninsula. It is situated on the Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Oman and the Strait of Hormuz. It borders with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen. According to the administrative division, Oman is divided into five regions (mintaqat) and 4 muhafases. The state capital is Muscat and the language used is Arabic. There are also communities that use Baluchi, Urdu, Hindi, Swahili or English. The country's currency is the Oman Riyal (OMR).
Oman is famous primarily for incense, which is made from the resin of incense. These trees, more like shrubs, grow mainly in the southern part of the country, more specifically in the Dhofar region, on the border with Yemen. This area has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
